Call for Content

MobiCASE, the International Conference on Mobile Computing, Applications, and Services, is a confluence between academia and industry on mobile applications and services research. The conference will showcase cutting-edge mobile computing research, feature demos of industry's most exciting mobile applications and services, and engage participants in hands-on projects and tutorials.

This year’s conference aims to innovate standard conference participation to include new content and experiences which are as cutting edge as mobile devices themselves. For example, we are seeking short dynamic presentations and demonstrations in place of the “standard” poster sessions. Our goal is to create a forum for connecting and collaborating on mobile initiatives in every industry, sector and space.

We are looking for ALL KINDS of novel submissions in the mobile computing space to educate and inspire our participants. Come share your new technology and innovative work with the world’s leaders in mobile technology!

We are seeking:

  • Creative, hands-on workshops. Do you have something you can teach our participants about developing mobile applications? Using mobile platforms for new services? Something else entirely? We invite you to share.

  • Product demonstrations. Have you invented the next “big thing” in the mobile industry? Don’t just tell us about it. Show us. We want to see the different things that participants are working on. Venture capitalists will also be present!

  • Passionate statements about the future. Are you envisioning a new trend in terms of applications or technology, predicting the end of a fad in the mobile space? Do you think there is a word in our industry that is overused and we should be talking about something different? Do you have a cutting-edge idea or concept that will change the mobile world? Share your ideas.

Example Themes include, but not limited to:

  • Next-gen mobile architectures
  • Privacy
  • Security
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) (aka Mobile Interaction)
  • Programming tools & models
  • Social Media
  • Business & Enterprise
  • Advertising
  • Mobile Payments
  • Open Source
  • Social Innovation (mHealth, disaster mgmt, etc.)
  • Entertainment (Digital Gaming, Music, Movies, etc.)

  • Novel approaches in Software Engineering for Mobile Apps

Submission/Evaluation Process

An extended abstract describing the nature of the unique content to be presented should be submitted. The goal is the exchange of ideas, solutions, best practices, and work in research and industry on recent and on-going work in mobile applications and service provisioning for mobile users. Abstracts should describe the content to be presented, time requested, and specifics on how you propose to use your presentation time. MobiCASE requires that all content describe novel, unpublished work not currently under review elsewhere. Submission instructions will be available here

Invitations for unique content presentation will based on technical merit, creativity, fit with the conference audience, and the active engagement level of the proposed content (How will it engage and excite participants?).
